Replacing broken keyboard on laptop
I have an old C600 DELL laptop, running at 750Mhz with 128MB, surfing the web with firefox works, although sometimes slow because of swapping. But reading\writing mail\news with mutt - slrn - vim works blazing fast
However, some weeks ago, the keyboard didn't work anymore. The shift and z keys were broken. When I press on them there is no reaction.
I have tried to fix them by using contact-cleaner, without success

So, I have ordered a ''new'' keyboard at Now That's IT and replaced the broken keyboard. Replacing the keyboard was not difficult to do.

I'm now writing this with the replaced keyboard. Seems to work without a problem. Hopefully I can save this file by pressing ZZ

Firefox 3 Beta 5 : Image problem (+ solution)
I have installed Firefox 3 Beta 5, which works nice except that I see some strange behaviour with pictures/images.
For example, when I take a look at my weblog, there is a picture missing.

Searching the web, I found that this problem was already reported as bug 411831.
So, after reading this bug report, I have edited /etc/X11/xorg.conf and add a line with XAANoOffscreenPixmaps to the Device Section.
